Re: HostEm: Admin List, Admin/Bot Rules & Abuse Report

Agreed with serve, id like to see Banevasion, myself and Airbup made moderators.

As long as the list is most of you are rarely on or ingame, especially late night when 3v3/4v4/ games would be very very nice seeing they NEVER fill.

Level Balance

Random thought I wanted feedback on: Would you say the game is more balanced at various level ranges than others? 1-10: most heros balanced, some heros are op. Specifically Infitrator. Rank 1/2 of AoO is enough to drop someone from 50-60% health and if they are even getting hit by the creeps just a...

New Obelisk Locations

Seeing no one created this post in the Common hall.... I am not a big fan of the new locations of the top and bottom obelisks. It's my opinion they are not too hard to take, but too easy. I find myself in many games simply porting to the path, spawning a wave of guys, marching them to the tower with...

Re: Things that go boom.

the ESD is also a nice counter, 2k damage to a creep on a fairly low cooldown, you can use it to do some quick damage and zap abbed units early. I do agree that abberation is strng and its only hard counter is rend soul on the incarnation. An ESD still simply isnt enough damage to counter a late ga...

Re: Tower Cores

I'll toss up my idea again, of using a tower core to fortify an obelisk tower. It would give the obelisk a defensive tower, and spawn units that would move to the tower and stay there to defend it. Just something else to use cores for, since obelisks are quite fragile and so easy to destroy with ch...

Re: Not sure if this is allowed, but I'm gonna go for it.

I am a big fan of the expanding base idea. Little automated workers that went out and built walls and miniature towers to help defend the ground id worked so hard to gain would be nice. The only indicator ive found in most candleburg games as to who is winning is how close to the enemy base the figh...

Re: Thoughts

If you go hardcore evocation/intelligence gale can be a force to be reckoned with, especially considering its cd and mana cost. That and gale hitting buildings is a very big plus in my book. As for replacing I was thinking a aura or a buff, More specifically an aura/buff that gives the slow poison ...

Re: Tower Cores

I'm pretty much fine with this system, but it would be cool if you could make some big uberspawns with towers that cost 2-3 cores each. agreed, but not too uber, instead of big hp's/damage creeps make some with some player oriented utilities. Example: some sort of creep akin to a summoner that summ...

Re: Hardcore mode - peanut gallery

could we add a kill cam? ;D

I was thinking decreased item costs, double the bounty on heros, and add some sort of mortal kombat "finish him" voice when ya get a hero in a certain area around you below 15%

Things that go boom.

Abberations. Aside from a few small, and I mean really small, balance issues among other heros there have only been a few of note. The biggest of which (and the only im taking the time to complaing about till I've played a few more games) is Abberations. It's a good concept, making things big and go...

Shardling Seige

Rock giants shardlings are still easy as hell to rig a game with, even after the attempted fixes (auto taunt and auto follow/attack)

Ive got a replay of how I overcame both the changes and still took down the main base with 15 Shardlings hit with rank 6 aberate once each, it is attached.

People I do not like.

For one reason or another there are some people on battle.net that I don't like. This can happen for a number of reasons from being just plain bad in general at EotA to possibly typing non stop in chat with no respect for the proper use of the caps-lock key. Thus I dedicate this post to all the peop...

Re: Items? What are items?

The main reason I start with items at the beginning (usually just "item" withouth the 's') is mainly a mana thing. Most heros in the game are going to burn through mana quick, especially if you are trying to use each ability to its full potential. The problem with buying mana pots is that ...

Soulbinder's Decoy

Lure fails to work on any hero with a ranged attack, melee hero's are working just fine.

Edit: this is only about 75% of the time failure.

Same as reaper here, perhaps it's time for someone to upgrade their computer a bit? =) jkjk might wanna check to make sure your not running too many extra processes ahead of time, keep the virutal memory use down a bit. you could try a msconfig and kill all the startup programs you can as well and t...

For future reference...
No need to go through regedit
you can just copy and paste it from program files folder to program files folder, WC3 doesn't do much with the registry at all except while running.
done it literally hundreds of times at lan parties and such.

The main reason he sucks earlygame is because his skills are individually weak and only powerful when spammed/comboed repeated Even early game spamming a mana gain/heal rotation help you level faster and stay in combat longer then anyone but Time Cleric, and past 15 there is little anyone can do to...
