Re: Marriage
It is certainly not required, they just recieve benefits for doing so because theres no other way to determine who does and does not qualify for marriage benefits. If they don't want those benefits then they can certainly pass on them. Also remember that the idea behind the incentive isnt to make ma...

Re: Items overriding certain abilities
Are you sure about evasion? I have always been under the impression that each evasion source is checked individually. I remember testing this before as well...
Re: Marriage
The reason there are tax breaks is because the government views people being married as desirable. The reasons should be obvious but for example, it wants happy, stable, little families over a bunch of adult males with way too much free time and money on their hands. Regardless of your moral standin...
Re: Evolution
Don't sweat it, it is really all just semantics, since I feel like we have the same opinion as to whether or not it actually occured. As to possible bias, there can be no bias if you avoid heavily favoring their explanations and instead use the data provided to form your own conclusions. For example...
Re: Evolution
I am trying to distinguish between evolution as a process and evolution as a historical occurance. It is an observable fact that the types of life we are familiar with will evolve to adapt to their enviroment over time. There is strong evidence that this is what occured on Earth, but it is not an ob...
Re: Evolution
That processes related to evolution (read 'evolution') can occur is a scientific fact. You can observe it in action in many experiments. The theory of evolution is different in that it specifically explains the state of the Earth. You can not observe the history of life on Earth and so that context ...
Re: Evolution
Most of the article that deals with defining it as both a fact and a theory is the part that was quoted as the crux of the first article. The rest of it just deals with the validity of various facets of the theory of evolution and doesn't really deal with it being a fact and a theory at the same tim...
Re: Evolution
The article you linked is of dubious quality. They're using multiple definitions of the word evolution. For instance when they are referring to it as fact they are talking about the evidence of species changing over time to adapt to changing enviroments. The adaptation I was referring to earlier. Bu...
Re: Evolution
I really don't want to be on dn's side for any reason but that isn't true. The facts are things like biodiversity and adaptation, the theory trying to explain them is evolution. For instance the fact is that giraffes have long necks, the fact is not that evolution causes giraffes to have long necks,...
Re: Evolution
As has been mentioned, it is not a theory in the same sense that evolution is; that is, the scientific sense. While they are both certainly theories in the general sense, another theory is that other species don't exist at all and it is a race wide mass delusion where there is no evolution because o...

Yeah i'm with Dek on this one, but I random only about a fourth of the time since usually come up with a little mini challenge for myself and then pick a hero accordingly. The other fourth I work backwards.
Re: Evolution
I don't understand the premise of this thread. Is Dark Nemesis saying that he believes the theory of evolution to be incorrect? That is fine, I mean it is just a theory. But I don't see any reason why he has chosen to believe so. Does he have another explanation that I missed in a different thread, ...

Re: Idle Energy Experience
I like it. It means the people who dont use generators, perhaps because they dont have the time or dont know about them, aren't inherently at a disadvantage. I prefer generators as part of the game you can use to get an advantage if used correctly, or possibly a waste of time/resources if done badly...

Re: Bitch thread
Well lets not get into a comparison between ice lance and entangle, but suffice to say that a large part of entangle's effect is the entangling so it should be fixed.

More important ice lance doesnt slow anyone or root them in place. It just does damage and entangle still does damage for him regardless.

Kedge 'fix' isnt on wiki but im assuming that's included? If not, then please. Command towers 'retreat' function not ignoring enemy units. (Seems like attack move instead of move? Somehow copied the other command tower ability?) Time Cleric's mana costs reduced. Swoop knockback change is listed but ...

Re: Devouring Plague concerns
He's raped by DS. Cleansing totem just trashes his debuffs and mass regen counters his chain nuke. The only thing he has against him is plague and a well placed skyfury totem will handle even that.

Re: Quietus Versus the Grim Brigade
I... wouldn't. I am not sure why you would? The spawn max is a custom trigger, why would it have anything to do with ladder? He probably just marks the units at some point around the time they are spawned and then checks if theyre dead. The only reason it wouldn't work is if he specifically put in c...
