That interception-turned-touchdown by the Saints was ridiculous. Before that, it was a pretty close game.

Soldier/Demo patch...Loving the Direct Hit and Equalizer right now, although the W+M1 Meleemen disappoint a little bit. Thoughts?

Re: Glacial Tyrant?

This should probably not be in the EotA Lore subforum...More like the 'General Discussion' subforum. Anyway. To be the Glacial Tyrant, you need to have picked a random race, or all pick needs to be on. You then keep hitting the 'Next Page' button until you get to a set of hero portraits with just th...

Re: Getting disconnected in first few minutes

Seriously, though, I wouldn't put it out to say it could be something related to MAC? Just a shot in the dark. I'm not entirely sure if that has anything to do with it. If War3 runs on a mac, he should be able to play any game, as the bot (so far as I know) only deals with putting messages in the c...

Re: Scarab needs something...

He did reduce it as of the latest version, but (it used to be, anyway) ridiculous if you went Nightmare/Life Wave / Smite and stacked int. Huge mana pool, quick regen, large amounts of damage.

Re: Scarab needs something...

He's not that bad. Life Wave is a rather strong heal, and when you get the talent in it, does a considerable amount of AoE damage at the end of it. Smite is a little mana heavy, but that's nothing a clarity can't fix, really. I agree with Carapace in that it needs an active ability to help him out, ...

Re: Hero Suggestion : Arch Druid

This actually sounds like a pretty cool take on things. The only thing I can think of to suggest right now is to make the vines immune to/highly resistant to dispels, so the Arch Druid isn't entirely negated by one hero who levelled a dispel.

Re: Fenris

Regardless if they're ready for nets or not, a Fenris player will rarely wait until they're 5 seconds from death and if the net fails they will just invul run away making him nearly undefeatable. So he runs into your base, you net him, turn, and burst him. Almost every hero has a low/short cooldown...

While I don't really wanna be harsh, I kinda agree. You seem to have a shitton of trouble from hero killers. . .which you should, given that they're kinda built around killing heroes.

Re: IceFrog (of DotA)

So your case is that the rules are retarded? Dota is a sport. Sports have retarded rules. See football (soccer for you ameritards), chess, tennis, etc. Each of those has a learning curve far greater than Dota's but still have roughtly the same amount of players. You have to learn to play Dota, that...

1. One instance of Mass Haste will raise your movement speed by 5%. 105% move speed is not enough to get away from his Dash. 2. It's not going to be a very good match if I'm expected to run from him whenever I see him. Never said run all the way back to your base. Drop back, he can't move (Nor dash...

Re: IceFrog (of DotA)

It's not the map's fault if you suck at it. The fact that I have to play 50 times with the same hero (exaggeration, but still there) in order to begin to understand how to get what items my hero needs, what items my hero needs, where each and every item is, how to play said hero with another hero/a...

Re: IceFrog (of DotA)

This is how most strategy [war] games work. This is true, but in DotA it seems far more essential to know everything about the hero you chose, his counters, useful allies, useful (even necessary, at times) items, worst enemies, how to solo/team level in a lane. . .Things that aren't as easily picke...

Re: IceFrog (of DotA)

Because he hasn't put an update out in ages! :P Never been a huge fan of DotA, to be honest. Tried a recent version, it seems all about knowing everything, at all times, while killing your own mobs (Which strikes me as kinda counter-intuitive) to prevent the enemy from getting XP. It seems completel...

that assumes you're dumping a ton of points into mass haste instead of your meteor shower and, to top it off, entangle isn't controllable! To use that you would need to forsake a ton of damage through meteors, be facing him one on one and run as soon as you see him because your familiar is going to...

Re: Clockwerk Goblins

Catas usually do a good job of hacking away at them. Really? I saw our catapults, with an equal number of spawn towers, get roflstomped by these things. The goblins ate up the meatshield in front of them and then just surrounded and killed the catas. I guess my biggest problem with these things is ...
