Just out of curiosity, have you actually played in a public game and tried to get the people you play with upgrade a scroll? Some don't relenquish it, some just sell the tower and buy an item for themself, generally, the floating noob text isn't enough. It is not easy to get people to use the scroll...

I'd say buff the towers until they are equally as important as the moontears. Maybe make them really harm building or something, they ARE seige towers after all.

I believe EotA is not centered around the hero. If you put in -ap or -ar it will gradually become more and more like DotA. If you want -ar or -ap, play a DotA game. And I say what I think is best for EotA, If you hate me for it you can go to hell.

I would like to see the factions units diverge. Maybe not in excess, but enough to keep things unique. People choose factions for the heroes right now. Maybe making the units different will make people think about the army a bit too.
