Re: 1.10 -> 1.11 complaints

I vote that the noob popup from holding an instruction scroll should be changed to something more humiliating and insulting to the noob that doesnt wanna learn. Maybe "I'm gay" or something. (Not that I have anything against gay people.)

Re: Problematic Air?

interesting concept however i think there should be a reward of a speed bonus for following the air, instead of being at the regular speed

"cheating" in Eota?

It's funny, i was losing and started to backdoor obs as Nephilim. Apparently backdooring and using execution generators on rocking arthas is cheating.

Re: [Discussion] Tactician/Flank

I think the old flank is preferable to the new one. It was stronger overall (bad) but it forced the tactitian to return to a lane and grab a bunch of creeps to backdoor with. The new one only requires you to cast it repeatedly. (And in version 1.11 at least, can be abused.) The time delay in taking ...

Re: EotA--false appearance of depth...

So you're saying, you hate EotA, yet you play it anyway? You aren't trying to listen, you just want to point out personal flaws and imperfections. I'll respond when/if you decide to think rationally and maturely.

Re: EotA--false appearance of depth...

In theory, you have teammates that are inclined to help you defend the map from your enemies, unless you repulse people when you meet them or command no respect at all, you can tell them to destroy and attack any obelisk towers. It's half the map divided by the amount of people you have, which is ab...

Re: EotA--false appearance of depth...

(I think I'll jump in, as EotA possesses the highest amount of depth on Bnet [to me at least]) To address Demongod: The true concept of EotA is to prevent rather than cure (i.e. You need to outmatch your opponent early on, rather than let his power grow and deal with a greater threat later.) Build y...

Re: How to Help Starters!

Thats an excellent idea. The bots function well, all that needs to be done is create some sort of tutorial funtion and have a popup at the end of games saying to try it out in singlesplayer for a tutorial. That would collect the people that like EotA, have patience, and have the initiave to try it.

Re: How to Help Starters!

I'll be harsh and skeptical. I highly doubt more than 40% of battle.net (optimistic) is capable of playing EotA. First of all, a bit that takes time like a movie or tutorial will be skipped because people dislike waiting. Second, people need information thrown in their faces to read it. The quest lo...

Re: Gloomreap Mire's play style...

I favor the gloomite style. All of the maps have a different way of accumulating units and gloopreap should revolve around gloomite harvest. Semi-relevant: Pubbie Whacking: is not a good way of spreading eota. Personally, I join the "underdog" team just so they have a chance against the te...

How do you counter the "item-units" like the plague army or sludge items. I find it powerful when combined with a support hero at the beginning.

I'm fairly certain archers are countered by melee. But another unit I'm having trouble with are those buyable "units-in-a-can" that combined with a support character is a threat that I havent figured out how to counter. This really messes me up in the early game.

After trying to beat down that blasted flier, I'd suggest a movespeed and/or armor reduction. He should keep his power but not his tanking or speed.

Hmm, perhaps an -upgradeoff command or using upgraderate 0 would give the best of both worlds? I really like the concept of a specialized army.

Yeah, I didn't realize that earlier. And in addition, SPELL MY GODDAMN NAME RIGHT! You people on bnet cant spell it to save your lives.

And drake masses are easily stopped if specialized in, geez.

Upgrades are necessary to me. That is the only thing allowing for specialized forces, if upgrades were not present, everyone would be dropping down random towers for a balanced army and not a specialized one. I am against upgrade removal, I'd say the classic way is the best.

Unit Counters

I usually find it hard to counter certain units, specifically goblins and stuff. Can anyone help me out with a list of unit counters?
